All pre-surgery instructions will be mailed to patients prior to surgery.
Remember patients are to have nothing to eat or drink after midnight.
Medication guidelines include:
Patients may take the following medication the morning of surgery (with one sip of water)
- Anti-Seizure Meds:
Dilantin
Phenobarbital
Tegretol
- Cardiac Meds:
All blood pressure meds except diuretics
All Beta-Blockers and cardiac meds
Potassium supplements
- Gastrointestinal Meds:
Pepcid
Tagamet
- Respiratory Meds:
Zantac
Prednisone
Inhalers
Nebulizers
Patients should stop taking these medications:
- All Aspirin products - 5-7 days preoperatively
- All Blood Thinners (Coumadin, Plavix, Sodium warfarin, Lovenox, Heparin)
* Check with Family MD if prescribed *
- All over-the-counter herbs, supplements, vitamins, cold medications – 7 days pre-op

Call the office to schedule a post-operative appointment with your doctor. You may direct any questions or problems to your doctor’s assistant at 330-821-0201.

If you have an emergency and our office is closed, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Patients with appointments with Dr. Palutsis or Dr. Graham may park in the lot on the North side of the building and enter the main door on that side. Patients with appointments for physical therapy or Arch Diagnostics (MRI, CT, DEXA) may park in the lot on the South side of the building and enter the Southwest door. Patients needing allergy injections may use the Allergy entrance on the East side of the building.
